Can you put a painted turtle and a red eared slider togother?

I'm looking for two different turtles (Painted and red eared slider) that both stay small when they get older and live in a 10 gallon tank or smaller. I can't find two different turtles that can be together in the same 10 gallon tank that live underwater. Well they don't HAFTA live under water but thats what I want most. And I can't afford a fancy Led light or expensive rocks/sand/plants. I just want two turtles that can live together in the same 10 gallon tank with no special needs. Can anyone help me out here??
