How to talk parents into buying me a Camaro or Mustang for 16th birthday?

As far as im concerned as a kid its your duty to go to school and get good grades.. You should just save up. And when you turn 18 you can ask your parents if they will chip in on a nice car for your graduation IF you want one of the cars above. Other then that just use your story you told us. I understand needing a car for work at your age and to go to school. My parents never gave me anything through highschool if I wanted off the bus it was up to me, if I got a job I was walking home after they dropped me off (if they could). Bottom line I wouldnt say a camaro or mustang it makes you sound greedy and they probably wont go for it. Were as if you just said I need a car for work. Plus someone your age doesnt need a fast car. I drove a 95 honda civic until I was 19 and now I drive a 97 cobra and im glad I didnt have a nice car as my first because it wouldnt have stayed nice for long. haha And those cars are an easy 4k for anything decent.
