Why is there no spark coming out of my 1998 3.8l V6?

i replaced motor in my mustang and turned the key. turns over but not cranckin up. i pulled a spark plug wire off to check for fire and nothing. i also checked the timing agqin to make sure it was right. i dont know if power and signal is going into coil pack or not. i only know theres no fire coming out of coil pack.
